A Pennsylvania man who threatened to “water the trees of liberty” with the blood of FBI agents and dared them to “kick down my door” was booked into jail by federal agents, according to a flurry of federal court filings.
Pennsylvania jail records reveal that Adam Robert Bies, 46, of Mercer entered Butler County Prison at 3:18 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13. He’s been charged with influencing, impeding, or retaliating against federal law enforcement and faces a Thursday afternoon detention hearing before US Magistrate Judge Lisa Pupo Lenihan in Pittsburgh.
Bies appeared on the feds’ radar shortly after the Aug. 8 FBI raid on ex-President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort mansion in Florida, an event that angered the Mercer man.
Three days after agents served a search warrant to find classified documents allegedly in Trump’s possession, the FBI’s National Threat Operations Section Social Media Exploitation team received a tip from MEMRI’s Domestic and Transnational Terrorism Threat Monitor about a Gab user, “BlankFocus.”
The person seemed to be targeting agents by stating online his “only goal is to kill more of them before I drop,” and, “If You Work For The FBI Then You Deserve To Die,” according to Bies’ criminal complaint.

FBI issued an emergency disclosure request to Gab, and the social media company provided agents with subscriber information on an “Adam Kenneth Campbell,” plus a chat log in which the person conceded he used “a fake name for my photography and Gab so that corporate Murica’ can’t google me out of a job.”
Agents say they traced the fake name and deceptive email address to Bies by obtaining his IP account information from his cable and internet provider.
On Aug. 11, Bies allegedly boasted on Gab that he’d “shoot an SS officer in the head just as quick as I’d shoot a KGB officer in the head. Keep that in mind. There are plenty of other letters in the alphabet. Police state scum are police state scum. Period.”
On the same day, Bies allegedly took to Gab to call FBI Director Christopher Wray an “asshole” and ask, “Why don’t you send them my threats so that they’d at least have something credible to show on Fox News. Just scrub my timeline for the posts you didn’t delete after you threatened to ban me. I sincerely believe that if you work for the FBI, then you deserve to DIE.”
Also on Aug. 11, Bies allegedly told other users he was “ready for the inevitable.”
“Once you accept reality for what it is instead of what you want or to be, you can move on with your life and get prepared for the inevitable outcome,” the message stated. “I already know I’m going to die at the hands of these piece of shit child molesting law enforcement scumbags. My only goal is to kill more of them before I drop. I will not spend one second of my life in their custody.”
In a bizarre ending to the message, it warned “peace loving non-violent so-called Republicans” that an FBI agent would sodomize their daughters and rape their wives to death.
Apparently, Gab tried to moderate Bies’ online conduct by issuing him an account warning. The Mercer man complained online that he was threatened with a ban “for saying that a bunch of child molesting f**gots at the FBI should be put down.”
On Friday evening, Bies allegedly continued his threats against the FBI, saying the agents “deserve a painful death.”
“Come and get me you piece of shit feds,” the message continued. “I am going to fucking slaughter you.”
They came for him a few hours later. No attorney is listed for Bies in the federal docket.
A Coffee or Die Magazine search of Bies’ criminal history found no arrests, not even a traffic ticket. If convicted of the lone federal charge, he faces up to 10 years behind bars.

Bies’ arrest arrives amid growing concerns about potential attacks on federal law enforcement following the Mar-a-Lago raid.
A joint bulletin issued last week by the US Department of Homeland Security and FBI warned about a rising sea of threats on “social media sites, web forums, video sharing platforms and image boards.”
On Aug. 12, FBI Director Wray vowed to hike security nationwide after an armed Ohio man in Cincinnati tried to use a nail gun to shatter the bulletproof glass into the agency’s field office.
Authorities say Ricky Shiffer, 42, a US Navy veteran from Columbus, was shot to death during a standoff in Clinton County after he fled the field office.
